The 1996 Monaco Grand Prix was Round 6 of the 1996 FIA Formula 1 World Championship.
The race was held on May 19, 1996, and was won by Olivier Panis of the Ligier team. The podium was completed by David Coulthard of the McLaren team and Heinz-Harald Frentzen of the Sauber team.
The race was notable for the retirement of Michael Schumacher on the first lap after a collision with Damon Hill. Schumacher's retirement handed the lead to Panis, who went on to win the race.
