The New York Yankees defeated the Colorado Rockies 3-0 on Friday night at Yankee Stadium.
Aaron Judge hit his MLB-leading 49th home run of the season in the first inning, a solo shot off Rockies starter Antonio Senzatela.
The Yankees added two more runs in the fifth inning on a RBI single by Anthony Rizzo and a sacrifice fly by Giancarlo Stanton.
Nestor Cortes Jr. started for the Yankees and pitched 6 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing only four hits and two walks while striking out nine batters.
Lucas Luetge, Miguel Castro, and Clay Holmes combined to pitch the final 2 2/3 innings for the Yankees, allowing only one hit and one walk while striking out three batters.
With the win, the Yankees improved to 78-54 on the season, while the Rockies fell to 54-78.
